7JUNE2012 @ Clemson, SC - UP at 0510 I think I am recovered from both the canoeing and the bus trip. My lower lip still has a stinging feeling but it is greatly diminished. The paddle-black is still evident on my hands but it is greatly diminished. I'm not sleepy and I doubt I will be sleepy today.
After noon I went out to the Hartwell Reservoir for swimming. It felt super to be in warm water that was not moving. I dallied for about an hour and rubbed off a lot of dead skin ... ufff dah indeed! The rowing team practices there; Saturday I am scheduled to have a picture made with the team ... hey, I would paddle 2,630 miles to get my picture taken with twenty healthy, gorgeous college ladies!!
Weather here is ideal ... in the 80s and calmish with any breeze coming from the north.
Till my parents died my mother greeted me with "Do you have a job yet?" In late 1990 I got to answer yes, of course I was 47 by then! Glad you made it home, n ow you can make it home! I leave 6AM on 15th so we will see each other in the old Morning Light (now Lattes and Sundaes) and see my new art exhibit.
