10APRIL2016 at Laurel, MT

Casino coffee and Sunday Tell-Me-How-To-Think TV greeted me as I arose early.  Rain also was with me ... no problem as I had some serious SPOT location device work to do.  For maybe 3 hours I tried and tried and tried to get it working.  This involved numerous Facebook notes between Norm Miller and me.  Bless Norm, what a guy!  Finally I gave up and called the Tech Support and even got the thing working (more on that tomorrow).  At noon I walked back to the river and pushed off.  I saw a mink/otter, geese, ducks and a bald eagle as I made my way toward Billings.  So as to easily make it through Billings tomorrow, and having a late start here, I opted to stop at the Duck Creek Fishing Access ... and was told that camping was not allowed.  About two miles on I stopped at the ranch of Ran Bell, set up the tent and did some writing.  Ran came down with apples, tangerine and banana ... that plus he will tell his Sidney riverside brother to be looking for me.  So it was a low mileage day and it was a good day.
