26MAY2011 near Gettysburg, SD - I awoke late - the sun was already up. I gathered my gear into the canoe and headed up the hill for some convenient store coffee. Yesterday I had two chapstick events. One was simply the host ladt at the West Whitlock State Park giving me a tube.

Good to be normal again.
At 800 PM the tent is pitched, whitecaps are still passing by and rain is threatening. I'm ready for sleep and now am "only" 69 miles from the dam.
