Today dawned bright and warmer. It appears to be a wonderful day to complete the walking part for this year. After coffee and peach cobbler Norm dropped me on the far side of the river at Mayor's Landing at about 0900. At 1130 I had completed the easy 5-mile walk and shortly therefore Norm and I were enjoying lunch.
Close to the end I found a blown away sign that I presented as a parting gift for Norm and Kris. Reading "FRAGILE ... DO NOT HUMP", I will leave the reasons for appreciating such a sign to individual insight.
During the balance of the day I made stops at stores, had a nap and arranged my gear. By dark it was all somewhat ready, so night and a last mattress sleep was welcomed. I could write more, but is anyone really interested in the final moments before departing?
