I awakened at 0200 after five hours sleep. It making no sense to return to bed, I piled into the truck and punched a hole through the dark all the way to Helena. At 0400 I pulled in at Holiday gas for some coffee and Van's for some groceries - then went home. Despite the coffee I was soon asleep, getting up again at 0800. Shortly thereafter Steve N. came over. He got a personal report of the last few days and we set the canoe on the trailer.
By 1500 most of the gear was inside getting dry, I had lunched, I had slept again, I had purchased three molasses chips at the Parrot and a Frap-O-Rama at Lattes and Sundaes. Things are almost back to normal living. Sleep is welcome.
